When you're creating your enterprise there is a lot to think about. You're going to be worried about the price tag on the different elements you need. Your website will be expensive. Advertising is going to cost even more. You'll spend much more when you hire someone to help you keep things going. You may be tempted to cut a few corners. The simple fact is, however, that while discovering ways to cut costs can sometimes being a help, sometimes it can also hurt you. You might get very hurt. The place that it hurts you the most is when you violate copyright along with intellectual property laws. Check out all these examples.

Stealing the design of someone's website. It's one thing to obtain a free design for your internet site or to make use of one of the free website builders out there. Totally stealing another person's layout, on the other hand, is a truly terrible idea. Obviously the internet is a giant place and it isn't very likely that the original designer is ever going to be made aware of your theft but that doesn't mean that you should take the chance. If you really love the design and would like to use it for yourself, just contact the designer or the owner of the website and ask for their permission to either utilize that design on your own site or blog or ask the designer if he or she could put together a new design for you (be sure to ask for the price).

Using a photo or an graphic prior to getting permission. Just because the photograph or image appears on a Google image search does not mean that the image or photo is public domain. When Google indexes an photo, they set up a link to the first website on which that image is found. There's no issue with this. Posting the photo or graphic with your site before you get permission from the owner or the creator, however, is a violation of copyright law. If the owner finds out, you might get sued. You should always get permission to use the photo before you actually put it up. You might have to pay some funds but it is worth it if you can avoid having legal action taken against you. If your funds are low, you can always search for free images or images released with the Creative Commons licenses that allow people to use images commercially. It's fine for the open public to work with those.

Using someone's composed content. If you would like to use another person's content on your own internet site, it is very important that you give credit to the original author. If you duplicate the content from another website, just be sure you link back to that site. This will help you get the primary writer to like you. When you never put up links or credit, you're vulnerable for getting in trouble for infringement of copyright and intellectual property laws. It will cost far more to fund the infringement than it would set you back to merely give proper credit or to hire someone to create something new for you.

When you are developing your business, it is usually better to be cautious. Sure you need to cut costs but make sure that you are using legal means for those savings. If you don't then you certainly could be facing a significantly larger cost than you would have otherwise.
