The fastest way to drive traffic to your website is Pay per click marketing. There are free methods to get visitors to your website, but nothing comes close to PPC for speed and efficiency. Nevertheless, there is a learning curve with PPC, which is why you see many Internet marketers trying this but there hasn't been a very good outcome. Before you jump into pay per click marketing, it's important that you understand the basics first, so that you are able to lay a strong foundation once you get started with it.

Target Multiple Countries: You can arrange for your ads to be run in as many countries as the network covers, which is currently more than 200, so you don't have to be limited geographically.

Some products have an international appeal, and if this includes yours, don't pass up this opportunity. No matter where you're targeting your ads, the trick is to keep testing your results and making tweaks where needed until you find the right formula. The best approach with PPC is to take calculated risks so that you find out what pays off.

Identify Your Competition: Consider who in your niche represents your most serious competition. If you want your ad to stand out from the rest and get a good click through rate, you will have to spend some time researching the ads that are run by your competitors. Do a search using your targeted keywords and see what kind of ads come up. Study the ads that come up and try to figure out what's good and not so good about each of them. You should aim to use whatever qualities are effective in other ads, but also go out of your way to make your own ads unique so they stand out.

Run Your Ads on a Schedule: Depending on the type of business you have, it could make sense to schedule your ads to run only within a certain time frame. When you set up your campaign, you have the option of scheduling the times that your ads run. If you have a store that's open daily from 10 in the morning to 7 at night, you may only want your ad running during these hours. So it really does help when you schedule your ads in such a way that they show up only when you need them to.

Pay per click can be an important part of your online marketing efforts if you keep the above guidelines in mind and track your campaigns carefully. To succeed at PPC, you have to be willing to invest some capital, but you also have to know when to change your approach.
