Gaining weight is not very hard, yet, losing the pounds is what people are obsessing about. There is no better way to lose weight than dieting paired with exercise. Here are some easy ways to get you started in losing those excessive pounds: 1. Drink a lot of water or other caloric free beverages. Before you choose on opening that big bag of chips and drowning your stomach in that calorie-full snack, you should drink a glass of water first. Studies show that some people confuse hunger with thirst. Some people eat what they could find when all they needed was a glass of cold water. When you don't like to drink plain water, then you could try sparkling water or even fruit-flavoured tea.
2. Try to eat several meals the entire day. It does the exact opposite to what many people think that this will get you to gain weight faster. Continually eating small amount will make you feel less hungry and eat less during meals. People who eat an average of 4-5 meals a day will be able to manipulate their hunger more and will also be able to control their weight gain. Eat small meals during the entire day, but the last meal of the day should be dinner.
3. Eat less carbohydrates,less fats but more protein. Proteins rich foods will easily make you feel fuller. Eating protein will also help you in maintaining your muscle mass and will help you burn fats faster. By incorporating healthy proteins in your everyday diet like beans, lean meat, yogurt, cheese and nuts will surely make you crave eating less.
4. Substitute healthy alternatives for unhealthy ones. Example is swapping a bowl of pasta for a bowl of vegetables. You will surely get healthy as you lose weight. When making lunch or dinner for your family, try using extra virgin olive oil instead of using butter in frying. It's healthier for the heart and it contains less calories.
5. Eat Fiber rich foods. Fiber will help aid your digestive process, lower cholesterol levels, help prevent constipation and will help you lose weight. You will feel fuller and more satisfied by eating foods that are rich in fiber like whole grain products, fruits and vegetables; thus, less prone to binge eating.
