Maximizing Your Fat burning Capacity With Exercise

When you need to shed pounds rapidly, I do not know a better combination than improving your eating habits and doing rigorous exercise. What I mean by intense exercise is strength building exercises in a regular and focused way. You do not have to go from 0 to hero in 1 day though. Gradual improvement will make a difference. Rome was not built in a day, and you did not lose your health in a day either. Keep in mind that you need to consult your doctor before making dramatic modifications in your lifestyle.

A press, or shoulder press, is a superb upper body exercise. You can do this with a dumbell, which I prefer rather than a barbell. The reason is that I believe the shoulder is in a more healthy pressing position when pushing with a dumbell. With a barbell, your hands face forward and with a dumbell, your hands are free to rotate. When you do presses, 5 sets of 5 repetitions is a good scheme. Begin with a weight you can lift 8 times before failing, and instead do 5 reps. Go to your other arm, do 5 reps, and then take a 1 minute break, or switch to a leg exercise. How much is a good shoulder press with 1 arm? 50% of body weight is quite strong. This will be quite hard, and you will develop a solid core. People can get shoulder problems with heavy pressing or regular pressing. Be aware of any body signals or pain.

The next strength building exercise is the split squat. The easiest way to do the split squat is simply to put one leg in front of the of the roughly shoulder length, and kneel down. You start off in this way without weights. The exercise can be done two ways after kneeling down. One is to maintain both feet on the ground as you rise up. The other way is to try to lift yourself up only with your front leg. Standing up with your front leg will exercise you in a different way than if you rise up with both feet. This is a lunge variation.

There are names for these variations. Bulgarian split squats involve keeping your rear leg on a raised platform. In case you add weights to the split squat, that is called a dumbell split squat. A barbell split squat is tougher, and will work your core as well as you have to balance a weight over your shoulders.

These are some excellent exercises, but the true trick is to do them on a regular basis. You can read all you want in relation to exercise, but studying is not the same thing as doing. It makes no sense for us to read articles on exercises when we don't do them. If we set aside simply five minutes a day to exercise in a focussed manner, we will see a difference. This is a big lesson. We sometimes feel unmotivated. It takes results. If you promise yourself every day, that for seven days in a row, you will exercise for five minutes a day, you will see a difference.
