Bottom line, muscle is hard to pack on. You will pack on a little muscle, but nothing serious. And when you hit this point, you will end up getting frustrated and possibly even quit working out. Did you know that most people that work out end stopping in about 4 weeks? Basically they don't end up with the body they want, fast and easy. Muscle gaining takes a lot of hard work and dedication. But the end result is so worth the hard work.
Anyways, here's some important tips to help you out. Keeping your body hydrated and drinking lots of water is key to pack on muscle. Your body is over 75% water, so its definitely essential. I recommend drinking close to a gallon a day if you can muster it up.
Get at least 6 hours of rest a day. Your body repairs itself during your sleep. Your body packs on muscle fiber by breaking them down and when you rest it builds them up thicker and stronger than before. Eat around 5-6 times a day. This will force your body to digest the meal faster and use the nutrients better. Believe it or not, it takes time to digest food. Think about it like this, you won't swallow a pizza whole? You will bite a piece off and chew, and your body digests slowly like this.
