If you are just beginning to look into learning to speak French, you probably feel more comfy with the way that the language sounds. Remember, this is all part of the learning a new language game. I mean, isn't this how to learned how to speak English? By repeating it and absorbing the language? Keep that in mind, and your goal to speaking French will be achieved in no time.
As cool as it sounds, we can't upload a language onto our brains. Throughout our lives, we learn by listening, talking and experiencing things. Ever notice how whenever you speak or listen to a word over and over again that you learn it. This is how all the experts learned, so why not just take a page out of their book? Here's a few thing for you to check out.
Actually listen carefully, not just casually. Listen for the familiar words and whenever you are prompted to respond, try your best. Use your French words as often as possible. Talk to anything that will listen, your dog, your annoying brother, a mirror. If you don't keep yourself actively immersed in the language, its easy to lose focus or knowledge.
Lastly, you should check out learn to speak French programs. There are so many different books and programs on the market today, but some just plain old suck. Boring books with outdated texts and outdated sayings. Some of the words and dialects in these books are out of date and aren't used any more. An awesome program for you to read up on is Rocket French by Marie-Claire Riviere .
