Today, money saving techniques is all over the place. Think back to when you were a kid on Sunday mornings. Its not that we don't like sitting at our kitchen table, and after reading what type of mischief Garfield got into this week, start clipping away, its that the time spent doing this activity could be better spent living outside of the kitchen. I have been known, on more then a dozen occasions, to leave a trail of strips of paper as I searched and clipped to save $.35 on something that I really have no need for. It's a blessing.and a curse, but we can't help ourselves. Wherever there is a sale, that's where our wallet takes us.
I would like to think that the answer is yes - after all Al Gore did invent the internet for the sole purpose of immediate satisfaction. Instead of getting our news from the local paper boy, we sit down in front of a small tv like screen and with a few clicks of a button we have instant gratification of news, sports, weather, cartoons and yes.coupons. People are still money conscious, even more so then the days of paper coupons, so it stands to reason that the internet would enhance this not-so-passing phase of saving money. A quick Google search brings up literally thousands of different places for you to visit. Which one do you go for?
There are three places that I personally have visited and found that although they are, on the forefront, the same, they do have some subtle differences. Coupon sites, if typed into a search engine, results in thousands of pages to view. Bizzability.com does things a tad different, while still saving you money (which is the reason why you're reading this). A great website if you are traveling to those areas, although you can find deals to your local area.
Bizzability.com has taken the principle of gathering different businesses and talking them into giving discounts to its subscribers. The neighborhood, right now, is Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. All of the businesses are local to the area and this makes the search a little bit less time consuming. Literally an one-stop shop experience where you can find everything that you are looking for. For Ft. Lauderdale/Miami places, I have yet to find a site that compares.
Bizzabilty.com offers free sign up to become a membership to their growing community. The emails don't seem to be spammy and if you disagree there is an option to unsubscribe. Once you're a member, you receive emails that offer great deals throughout your local area. The emails aren't spammy or annoying, and if you come to the conclusion that they are, you can unsubscribe - no questions asked. I have signed up to join Bizzability.com after learning about them through a friend, and they are every bit as good as Groupon.com and LivingSocial.com.
Although I stopped making resolutions a while ago, I think that keeping a resolution of trying to save money is a valid one. Here's hoping that your new year is a safe and prosperous one.
