There are so many couples these days that already have kids mixed into the equation when getting married. They might be from a prior marriage or adopted. There are also so many people who decide to have children before they get married, due to money, extreme circumstances or health reasons.

It won't always be possible to leave kids with friends or family, and doing so, depending on their ages, temperament/personality, etc. they might feel excluded, if you don't take them with you on your honeymoon.

Besides relaxing after the stressful planning and sometimes execution, of a wedding, it's also the perfect bonding experience. It's especially ideal for couples coming from divorces with children.

A destination wedding might be the perfect option. There are just a few things to bear in mind, when planning the wedding and honeymoon.

Make sure it's a family friendly destination.

* There should be enough activities to keep older kids occupied.
* There should be aftercare facilities or a nanny service, while you, as a couple, need alone time, or get ready for the wedding, etc.

Find out about family package deals. If kids are under a certain age, you might even get accommodation for free.

Try finding more relaxed, excluded destinations and accommodation. This way there's more chance of relaxing. It might be much cheaper than the ‘hot spots' too.

Self Catering units are also a great option. It will give you more freedom to make the kids feel at home and comfortable. It's a great way to save money.

If you feel like not making breakfast, lunch or dinner - it is your honeymoon after all, most Self Catering accommodation is normally close to restaurants, etc. but also have the option available of getting a breakfast ordered to the unit, at an additional price. The same goes for cleaning and laundry.

Having a Florida Wedding and honeymoon is a great example. There's so many great hotels, beaches, resorts, etc. to choose from. It's also one of the most beautiful destinations during the correct season.
