Racing is one of the most famous events in existance; when it comes to auto racing the undisputed champion is Formula One. Formula One is the most technologically advanced and most exciting race championship to watch in the world; that is the reason why all Formula One races manage to draw a TV audience of more than 600 million people.
Formula One races are run in numerous countries around the globe. A typical Formula One race consists of twenty four cars in most cases; usually with two cars per team. Based on the finishing position points are assigned to each team and each individual manufacturer as a way to create rivalry and competitveness through the season.
Formula One races are about a lot more than just racing however; there is a long standing history behind a lot of the leading Formula One teams. Sponsorships and prize money are always important as well; largely due to the price of running and maintaining a competitive Formula One team.
In recent history Formula One has moved very quickly through new technology. New car and engine technologies have really pushed the edge for the race teams, and as a result everything has become vastly more expensive. Unfortunately this means new teams are unlikely to be successful, thus making it unlikely that very many new teams even attempt to join.
Of course technology isn't the only thing advanced about Formula One. Formula One has caused some of the most skilled and precise drivers in the world simply due to the speed and competition available. Each race makes new and exciting challenges to every team and driver regardless of the previous race. These new challenges not only make the races exciting for the drivers and teams, they also bring fans back week after week to watch every Formula One race of the season.
