Ski resorts in the French Pyrenees

Artouste:

How to get there: By Car cable running from the town of Fabreges
Note: Keep in mind that the small train
on Artouste is ONLY for sightseeing, many places in Artouste are
offering it, while this is just an attraction!
Opening hours and dates: The ski site opens on 18th of December
and closes on 20th of March; the ski site is open from 9:30 in
the morning, until 5 a clock in the afternoon.
Facilities (ski lifts, altitude, type of runs, type of
piste etc): On the altitude of 2000m the ski site has 17
pistes: 2 green, 7 blue, 7 red and 1 black;It operates with 10
lifts.
Equipment rental price: The site offers a lot of cheap equipment:
the skis prices start with 6 euro and the most expensive finish
with 20 euro.
The snowboards prices vary between 14 to 18 euro.
All of the prices are per day usage.
Skiing private lessons and prices: One lesson( for 2h.) is 25
euro; Five lessons will cost you100 euro, and six lessons will be

How to get there: Using the bus service 935 between Lourdes and
Cauterets.
Regular coach services from many other places are also available,
but this is the main one.
From Lourdes Pyrenees airport: About 45mns drive.Take N21 towards
Lourdes.
In Lourdes, continue towards Argels-Gazost on D821.

Then continue on D921 towards Pierrefitte-Nestalas, there take
D920 towards Cauterets.
From Pau airport:

About 1h20 drive, about 1.5 toll - 2.3euro Motorway A64 towards
Lourdes-TarbesExit 11 Soumoulou / Lourdes and continue towards
Lourdes In Lourdes, continue towards Argels-Gazost on D821.
Then continue on D921 towards Pierrefitte-Nestalas, there take
D920 towards Cauterets.

From Toulouse airport:
About 2h20 drive, about 5.6 toll - 7.4euro
Motorway A64 towards Tarbes - Lourdes Exit 12 Lourdes / Tarbes
west then continue towards Lourdes on N21.
In Lourdes, continue towards Argels-Gazost on D821.
Then continue on D921 towards Pierrefitte-Nestalas, there take
D920 towards Cauterets.

Opening hours and dates:
The site is open from 27th of November, until 25th of April,
every day between 7:30am and 6:00 pm.

The site is operating between1,450 and 2,450m with 5 green, 7
blue, 7 red, 2 black pistes, working with 3 gondolas,
5 chair lifts,9 T-lifts and 1 conveyor.

How to get there: The coach to Gavarnie is 5 euro, using the
Gavarnie coach line.

Maligne des Gaves bus connection.
